I am often asked how much post work I do. My answer is usually,”As little as possible”. But sometimes I don’t get the “feel” of what I want with the raw “straight out of the camera” shot or sometimes I simply change my mind, OR sometimes I like to have several versions of the same image.
Here is a case where the original image was nice but it wasn’t “Moody” enough for me. So I put it in photoshop’s camera raw ( I always shoot raw files) and adjusted it to a cooler tone. I lightened it a bit and the imported it into Photoshop for a little clean up. I take off bruises, scratches, or blemishes.
I experimented with higher contrast (MoshB) and with darkening the image (MoshC) but I settled on MoshA as the winner. I like it best because it brings out her lovely blue eyes and, since it is a cooler tone, it makes her body more of a sculpture instead of flesh, so it removes some of the sexuality and replaces it with more of a sensuality. Of course, all of this is just the weird way my brain works and is personal artistic taste/opinion.
I will allow comments on this because I am interested to know which one is YOUR personal favorite and why.
Keep all comments about the art. It’s fine to say you find one color “sexier” than another but I’m not interested in ANY opinions regarding her ass, tits, or whatever. Grow the hell up.
